The spinosaurus, a large spinosaurid theropod dinosaur lived during the Cenomanian stage of the Late Cretaceous period, about 99 to 94 million years ago. This carnivorous dinosaur is estimated to have been 14-18 meters (46-59 feet) long and weighed around 7.4 metric tons.
