FAQ

Here are some of the most common questions we answer here at Cornerstone Minerals! If you don't see an answer to your question below, please don't hesitate to use our contact form to get in touch with one of our staff.

What are your average processing/shipping times?

We typically take 1-4 days to process an order for shipment - usually this is done the day after an order is placed, but we do not process orders on Saturdays or Sundays. So if an order is placed on Friday, it will most likely not be shipped until the following Monday.

Processing times can also vary depending on the size, fragility, or rarity of the piece - we need to take special precautions and sometimes buy custom packaging, so please be patient if it takes us a little longer to ship larger or more fragile items. We want to make sure your pieces get to you safely!

After dropping the packages off, the shipping times are in the hands of the postal service. We offer different levels and companies to ship with, so you can get your item as quickly as you would like.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we do ship internationally! However, there are some restrictions on what we can ship outside of the US - mostly from our natural history section. We cannot ship any 'fresh' animal products outside of America. This does not count towards animal fossils, but only to skulls, skeletons, and taxidermy. If an order is placed from outside the US for one of these items, we reserve the right to cancel and refund your order. If you order items that are not restricted, we will still ship those items. We also cannot ship any alligator items to Kansas. Apparently they want nothing to do with alligators there - who knew?

Are these real?

Yes, everything on our site is real. If any item has been influenced by man - whether polished, electroplated, or anything else - it will be written in the item description. We strive to be as ethical and transparent as possible when presenting our items. If you see something you think is amiss, please do not hesitate to fill out our contact form!

Are they legal to possess? Can you travel with them?

Crystals and minerals are legal to possess, and you should have no trouble travelling with them. Fossils are the same. Animal products, such as taxidermy, skulls, and skeletons, are legal to possess within the US and can be shipped within the US. However, we cannot ship animal products internationally. It is illegal to export these items to countries outside the US. We apologize for any inconvenience.

I'm looking for (insert mineral, fossil, etc. here) but don't see it on your site. Do you have it?

Our website is updated frequently with more and more items, but because we have 4 locations spanning the Southeast, there are plenty of things that we cannot upload due to distance. If you're ever looking for something specific, please feel free to contact us - chances are we'll have some at one of our shops and we can send you pictures!
