This paw belonged to a cave bear that lived in the Pleistocene epoch, approximately 25,000-28,000 years ago. These bears are suggested have been omnivorous, with a diet of roots, fruit, other vegetation and small invertebrates.
Found in Romania, cave bear deposits are legally protected and as such exports have halted. This piece makes an excellent addition to any fossil collection and continues to appreciate in value.
