This gorgeous type of brecciated jasper is found in Madagascar, named after a native water fowl for their similar coloring.
Ibis jasper forms when broken pieces of jasper are cemented together through natural processes like weathering or volcanic eruptions. It consists of chalcedony, a microcrystalline quartz, and impurities such as iron oxides, clay and other organic material that are responsible for its diverse color.
This jasper is associated with healing, stress relief, meditation and enhancing intuition.
