This is a specimen of purple cubic fluorite and Barite from Berbes Mining Area, Asturias, Spain. This locale is one of the most well-known for fluorite in Europe, and they are finding fewer and fewer veins of fluorite in this area, making specimens like this harder to find. It features a light purple color and distinct, cubic fluorite crystals inter-grown with each other atop a matrix along with a distinct Barite growth. As it is getting harder to find, specimens from this locale will undoubtedly appreciate in value as supplies dwindle!
This specimen is approximately 3.5" x 2.25" x 3". You will also receive a label card with the mineral name and the locale where it was mined.
