Cavansite forms in the gas cavities of basaltic and andesitic rocks, primarily from hydrothermal fluids rich in calcium, vanadium, and silica. It typically occurs in the Deccan Traps of India, where it precipitates on top of other minerals like zeolites (e.g., stilbite) and sometimes apophyllite or heulandite. This process results in the mineral's characteristic deep blue, spherical crystal aggregates.
Associated with enhancing intuition, communication, and spiritual growth by activating the third-eye and throat chakras. It is known as a stone of revelation, promoting clarity and perseverance during times of transition.
