This is an amethyst cluster from Las Vigas, Vera Cruz, Mexico. Vera Cruz is particularly well known amongst amethyst collectors, as the crystals this locale produces are different than the typical ones you see. They have a much longer crystal length than Brazilian specimens, and have a characteristic gradation of light lilac to darker purple color. This piece is a particularly big cluster for that locale, and has a couple of scepter formations as well. Most of these crystals have darker purple zoning near the tips, and visible phantoms as well.
This piece measures approximately 11.8cm x 8.1cm x 4.4cm tall. This piece comes with a display card listing the mineral name and locale.
