This is a Hessonite Garnet Thumbnail from Jeffry Mine in Asbestos, Quebec, Canada. Hessonite is the yellow to orange to brownish red and even sometimes green varieties of grossular garnet. It is a little bit softer than regular garnet due to the different inclusions that give it its color.
This piece measures approximately 2.3cm x 1.1cm x 1.8cm tall. It comes in a perky box measuring 3.5cm x 3.5cm x 3.5cm and displays the mineral name and locale.
