Emeralds form through high-pressure, high-temperature processes, most commonly in contact metamorphic rocks where magma bakes existing rock, or in hydrothermal veins where mineral-rich, superheated water circulates and cools.
Their formation requires a rare combination of specific elements: beryllium from deep in the crust, and chromium and vanadium from other rock sources, which come together in the right geological environment to form beryl crystals that turn green.
Associated with calming influence, strengthening relationships, enhancing intuition, and promoting both emotional and spiritual well-being. In energy healing traditions, emeralds are closely linked to the heart chakra, helping to balance emotions and encourage compassion and self-love.
Main crystals are 1/4"-1/2". Sourced from Peña Blanca(s) Mine.
