This soft sulfate mineral is named for the delicate blue color, however it also occurs in white, pale yellow, and colorless. Celestite forms primarily in sedimentary environments through the interaction of strontium and sulfate ions in supersaturated groundwater solutions, often replacing gypsum or anhydrite.
This gorgeous piece was mined from the Sakoany deposit, Katsepy, Mitsinjo, Boeny, Madagascar. The main Crystal is 4.76 cm tall; (~3.3" tall with the base).
Celestite is associated with spiritual connection, inner peace, and calming energy, often used to enhance communication, particularly with angels and spirit guides, and to promote clarity of mind and emotional balance.
