Blue green tourmaline, particularly the coveted Paraíba variety, forms in pegmatite rocks under specific conditions of high heat and pressure, where copper and manganese trace elements are incorporated into the crystal structure.
These elements are dissolved in hot fluids and travel through cracks in the host rocks, leading to the unique, vibrant blue and green colors not found in other tourmalines. The formation process is complex and occurs deep within the Earth over millions of years.
This mineral is associated with deep emotional healing, enhanced spiritual awareness, and clear communication.
