This is a free-standing amethyst crystal point mined in Bolivia. It has polished sides to accentuate the natural termination of the crystal. Amethyst is a variety of quartz that has small amounts of iron in the crystal lattice and has been exposed to gamma radiation at some point during its formation that give it it's purple color. Because of this, Amethyst will fade in sunlight. Maximize exposure to under 1 hour a day to keep the color vibrant.
This amethyst point is approximately 17cm x 9cm x 9cm.
