Very high grade emerald from the Muzo Mine in Colombia. Emerald is the green variety of beryl, making it a cousin to aquamarine and morganite. This specimen has one main section of growth that looks like 3 crystals started growing into each other. There is an additional emerald up near the top as well, but does not have as defined of a crystal structure. These are all growing on calcite with a little bit of host rock poking through.
This specimen measures ~6.6cm x 5.6cm x 4.3 cm tall. The main emerald section measures 2.2 cm at it's longest
