This is a piece of titanium aura quartz. That means that someone took a piece of regular quartz and put it in a vacuum chamber and electroplated a thin coating of titanium onto it, which gives the crystal that characteristic rainbow shine. This piece is only 1/2 coated, leaving the natural base of the rock exposed.
