This is an awesome piece! It's a Rhodochrosite from Wolf Mine in Herdorf, Pfalz, Germany. This is a very unusual locale for rhodochrosite. It usually forms in Argentina, Colorado, or Peru. It has a deep red color with an orange hue. It has several fully intact, terminated crystals. It was once a part of the Paul Jung and Craig Wibirt collections respectively.
This piece measures approximately 2.3cm x 2.2cm x 2.3cm and sits in a perky box that measures 3.5cm in all directions.
