These are Pyrite Specimens from the Huanzala Mine in Huánuco, Peru. Pyrite is an iron sulfide mineral with a hardness of 6-6.5 and has a cubic, pyritohedral or octahedral crystal pattern. It is also known as ‘Fools Gold’ and will actually appear in places that real gold forms since they share similar forming conditions.
