We have two awesome Fire Agate specimens from Guanajuato, Mexico. Fire Agate is a type of chalcedony (microcrystalline quartz) that has a hardness of 7 on the Mohz scale. It gets its iridescence from alternating layers of silica and iron oxide layers that allow light to pass through and interact with this microcrystalline structure. It can be a lighter brown color, like option B, or have flashes of green and other colors, like option A.
