This is a thumbnail of a Fluorite from the Rogerly Mine in Wearedale, England. Fluorite is a calcium fluoride crystal with a hardness of 4. It can be cubic or octahedral & in wide array of colors (colorless, multi, green, purple, white, yellow, red, pink & black).

Rogerly Fluorite is a unique cubic fluorite that exhibits a reactivity to daylight. UV rays cause the green crystals to turn a bright blue-purple. It was only found in the Rogerley Mine in Weardale, England. The mine is no longer producing, making it a highly sought after collector's item.
