This is a prehnite specimen with epidote inclusions from Bendoukou in the Kayes Region of Mali. Prehnite is a calcium aluminum silicate mineral with a hardness of 6-6.5. It has an orthorhombic crystal system occurring in yellow-green, yellow, white, gray, or colorless. It will frequently grow botryoidally, like this specimen. This piece has one main formation with several smaller bubbles growing in top of it, giving it a fun shape. The epidote crystals are visible through the semi-translucency of the prehnite.
