Malachite on Cobaltoan Calcite
Cobaltoan Calcite is a calcium carbonate mineral that is highly sought out for its pink-magenta color, which is caused by trace amounts of cobalt that exist where the mineral grew. This particular specimen is also included with portions of malachite that grew on top of the calcite, allowing for a beautiful and naturally occurring color scheme.
