This is a Heliodor specimen that came all the way from Jos Platteau, Nigeria. Heliodor is the yellow variety of beryl, making it the same type of stone as Aquamarine and Morganite. This piece is terminated with smaller second termination on one side with a really birght yellow to it. Most beryls do not terminate, so that makes this a little bit more rare. This piece has some blue tones on the interior of the crystal that still pop through with that lovely aquamarine blue. It has natural etchings on it as well.
This piece measures approximately 3.6cm x 2.2cm x 1.5cm. It has been glued town to a clear acrylic base that measures 5cm x 5cm
