This is a specimen of amethyst from Amatitlan, Mun. de Zumpango del Rio, Guerrero, Mexico. This specimen features all of the trademarks of high-quality Guerrero amethyst, with the base of the largest point covered in smaller crystals and the same deep purple core that gradates to a lighter, almost clear color at the end. Guerrero amethyst are becoming harder and harder to find because unfortunately the area is now controlled by the cartel, making specimens like these a limited resource. As this is an old find, there is some damage to the edges, but overall this is a very aesthetic piece of history. This would be a unique addition to any collection!
This specimen is approximately 150mm x 50mm x 30mm. You will also receive a label card with the mineral name and the locale where it was mined.
