Very high grade emerald from the Muzo Mine in Colombia. Emerald is the green variety of beryl, making it a cousin to aquamarine and morganite. You can see the hexagonal structure to both Emeralds in this specimen. The bigger one has some phenomenal clarity to it as well. Emerald is considered one of the "precious" stones, making it very desireable for both specimen collectors and jewelry makers as well.
This specimen measures 7.4 cm across x 5.2 cm wide x 4.2 cm high.
The main emerald measures 2.7 cm long x 1.0 cm across.
The smaller one measures 0.5 cm length visible and measures 0.6 cm across.
