This is a cabinet specimen of purple cubic fluorite from Berbes Mining Area, Ribadesella, Asturias, Spain. This locale is one of the most well-known for fluorite in Europe, and they are finding fewer and fewer veins of fluorite in this area, making specimens like this harder to find. It features a light purple color and distinct, damage-free cubic fluorite crystals inter-grown with each other atop a matrix. It is getting rarer to find specimens of this size, making the perfect piece for the high-end fluorite collector, as it will undoubtedly appreciate in value as supplies dwindle!
This specimen is approximately 10.5cm x 6cm x 3cm. You will also receive a label card with the mineral name and the locale where it was mined.
