This is a Creedite and Fluorite specimen from Mexico. Creedite is formed from the oxidation of fluorite, which causes it to take on a different crystal structure than that of the regular cubic or octahedral fluorite formations. It has a Mohz hardness of 4. This piece has small fluorites growing on the underside near the host rock and has a phenomenal radial formation that gives it a hedgehog-like appearance.
