This is a thumbnail specimen of an azurite crystal from Milpillas Mine, Sonora, Mexico. It features a quality deep blue hue, terminations and visible growth patterns. Azurite is a secondary copper mineral that is soft and usually found in very small crystal formations, making crystalline azurite like this more uncommon. Azurite is often pseudomorphed with malachite, and the two are often found together.
This specimen is approximately 1in tall x .3in wide x .5in thick. You will also receive a free 'perky' display box with a clear lid and a label featuring the crystal name and the mining locale.
