This is a specimen of blue barite crystals on a limonite matrix from Jebel Ouichane, Sagangane, Nador, Nador Province, L'oriental Region, Morocco. This locale is famous for producing some of the most high quality blue barite specimens in the world, well-known for their large, blade-like tabular crystals and superb transparency. This specimen is a very light baby blue color, and the crystals sit atop an aesthetically pleasing limonite matrix. Because of the way that the crystals align against the flat limonite base, this piece does not require a stand or custom display to look fabulous in any cabinet or collection!
This specimen is approximately 9.5cm x 8cm x 5cm. You will also receive a label card with the mineral name and the locale where it was mined.
