This is a thumbnail specimen of an azurite crystal cluster from Milpillas Mine, Sonora, Mexico. It features a quality deep blue hue and various intergrown crystals. Azurite is a secondary copper mineral that is soft and usually found in very small crystal formations, making crystalline azurite like this more uncommon. Azurite is often pseudomorphed with malachite, and some small patches of malachite can be seen on the surface of this crystal cluster.
This specimen is approximately 2.5cm tall x 1.5cm wide x 1.5cm thick. You will also receive a free 'perky' display box with a clear lid and a label featuring the crystal name and the mining locale.
