This is a thumbnail specimen of adamite crystals from Ojuela Mine, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico. Adamite is a zinc arsenate hydroxide mineral that tends to occur alongside zinc deposits. Pure adamite crystals are typically colorless, and the yellow-orange in this specimen is due to iron inclusions. The top of the crystals exhibit a green fluorescence under UV light.
