This is a thumbnail specimen of chrysoberyl from Miakanjouvato, Ambatosoratra Commune, Madagascar. Chrysoberyl is an aluminate of beryllium and is a completely separate mineral from beryl, though both contain beryllium. This specimen features a nice deep green color and well-defined growth patterns and terminations. It features three intergrown crystals, with the largest displaying the most well-defined termination. This specimen would be a fantastic way to add chrysoberyl to your collection!
