This is a cluster of Turitella Fossils in a Sandstone Matrix from Touraine, France. From the Miocene Epoch, these fossils are around 23-5 million years old. This specimen boasts 7 fully formed shells, two smaller shells that are partially uncovered, and one fossilized clam shell. This region of France is known to produce world quality Turitella fossil examples. This would make a perfect display piece as it sits nicely and shows the full spray of the shells.
