Aquamarine on Schorl (Black Tourmaline) from the Erongo Mountains in Namibia

This specimen is a fun combo piece featuring Aquamarine growing on Schorl from the Erongo Mountains in Namibia. Aquamarine is the blue variety of beryl, putting it in the same family as Emerald and Morganite. This Aquamarine is a pale opaque blue color in all areas except the caps which are a translucent green. Both the main crystal and some of the smaller ones have these traits. I think this contrast of both color and clarity give this piece a very particular aesthetic that would be hard to find elsewhere. All of this is sitting atop a nice piece of black tourmaline, which provides a nice contrast for the lighter colored Aquamarine.
This piece measure approximately 4.8 cm tall x 3.3cm x 2.9cm. It is hot-glued to the acrylic base that it is on, ensuring it's always display ready.
