This is a specimen of fluorite with blue and purple zoning from Minerva Mine #1, Cave-In-Rock, Hardin County, Illinois, USA. This cluster of intergrown fluorite is mostly purple, with distinct blue zoning within the largest crystal. The cubic crystals are sharply terminated and feature light etching on the faces. Minerva Mine #1 has been mined out of this variety of fluorite, so specimens like this one are quite rare.
This specimen is approximately 100mm x 55mm x 30mm. You will also receive a label card with the mineral name and the locale where it was mined.
